3. Janise's Birthday Party
Monday, January 02, 2006 10:03 PM The theme for her birthday party that night was 'Saturday Night Fever', but for us blokes from Hwa Chong, it should've been 'Saturday Night Tai Tee'. Actually, for a party involving 34 invitees from 3 different circle of Janise's friends and in the middle of her exams (in NUS School of Medicine, 'in the middle of an exam' apparently refers to the few months preceeding it), it was quite a successful and cosy party. It was only because we were the smallest and least connected of her circle of friends that we retired to one corner for most part of the evening and played Tai Tee and Bridge, reliving the happier days in the generally unhappy and stressful Junior College that once existed. There're no perfect parties, especially when the party involves 34 people. However, there're perfect opportunities and excuses for us to shirk the responsibility of our next outing before Wei Bin is no longer available, Janise. Heheh.
